Car Seat Program What we are...

A service for Alaska Native and American Indian people that was developed in 1987 because of the high death and injury rates among Alaska Native and American Indian children who were involved in car crashes. These injuries could be prevented simply by installing a car seat for your children.

What we provide...

We furnish clients with the appropriate car seats for their children based upon the child's weight and age.

Infant seat: 5-22 pounds
Convertible seats: 5-40 pounds
Booster seats: 30-80 pounds

How to apply...

Call the Southcentral Foundation's Health Education Dept. (at the number listed below) for an appointment.

A 45 minute training session is required on proper car seat installation.
